I happened to be browsing Yahoo! Movies and came across a link to an Underdog Blooper Reel. I consider that ironic, since the whole movie looks like a blooper reel.
I actually generally like “family” movies, but this one just looks dumb. I’m sorry, Underdog. It’s just the bitter truth.

I thought that was pretty funny! I like how they made it look like a real blooper reel, and then the part where the boom mike hit the dog in the head. That is pretty creative.
Plus, well, it looks really cute, IMO, and it’s got Jason Lee. Yeah, it’s a family film, but that’s okay, I think it’ll still be fun. The trailers have been good!

I don’t think it’ll be worth running out the theaters for, but who knows. Maybe I’ll be bored enough to watch it on HBO someday.
I thought Garfield looked stupid, caught it on HBO years later, and actually sorta kinda liked it enough to not change the channel.
You should check out the blooper reel – it’s pretty inventive – it’s not a blooper reel that pokes fun at itself as much as anything else. I think it looks a lot like this film will have a much better sense of humor (and self-awareness) than anything like Garfield!
