Sexy Geeks

karibyron1.jpgI’m a bit late on reporting this one, but it caught my eye so I thought I’d post it. Don’t worry, this list has guys and gals on it! I give you Wired Magazine’s Sexiest Geeks of 2006.

I’m particularly fond of the Peoples’ Choice award that went to Kari Byron. For those who don’t know who that is, she’s the redhead on Mythbusters. She’s an artist by trade, so generally lacks the real world spin that Tory gives or the pure math that Grant brings. But whatever, they need a girl and she’s enthusiastic (and purdy).

Also of note on the list is everyone’s favorite time traveler, Masi Oka, aka Hiro Nakamura. Being a guy, I’ll have to reserve judgement on whether he’s really sexy or not. I guess he may have that boyish charm and he does turn into a certifiable badass in the future.

morganwebb3.jpgOne sexy geek that I’m disappointed to not see on the list is Morgan Webb. I guess her heyday is over now that TechTV has changed hands so many times that it’s only a bastardized version of its former self. She was one of the first sexy geeks from way back in my college days, and she’s still going strong on pretty much the only show worth watching on G4, X-Play.

I’m not really surprised that her cohort, Adam Sessler, isn’t on the list. If he ever makes a sexy geeks list, it’s time to give up on mankind.
