Since Transformers is the next big movie on the agenda, I thought I’d round up all the little facts about the movie that I’ve come across in my research.
Admittedly, most of it can be found in the trivia section of the IMDB entry, but what else is the Internet about if not the sharing of information? Besides, I’ve pulled out the best stuff from IMDB and Wikipedia and put it in one place for you!
- Peter Cullen, the original voice of Optimus Prime in the ’80s, is back for the movie to voice Prime again.
- Megatron is voiced by Hugo Weaving, instead of Frank Welker (the original voice of Megatron).
- The Autobots in the movie will be:
- Optimus Prime (Peterbilt 379)
- Bumblebee (Chevrolet Camaro)
- Jazz (Pontiac Solstice)
- Ironhide (GMC Topkick)
- Ratchet (Hummer H2)
- The Decepticons in the movie will be:
- Megatron (Stealth Bomber)
- Starscream (F-22 Raptor)
- Blackout (MH-53 Pave Low Helicopter)
- Brawl (M1 Abrams)
- Barricade (Ford Mustang Patrol Car)
- Frenzy (CD Player)
- Bonecrusher (Buffalo H Mine-Protected vehicle)
- Scorponok (Robotic Scorpion)
- Most of the Transformers have updated forms for the current generation. Most notable among these are Bumblebee as a Camaro and Megatron as a stealth bomber.
- Megan Fox is hot (and in this movie).
- It’s currently rumored that Bumblebee is mute and has no voice.
- The exact voice dialog of the Transformers was written after filming was complete.
Looks like the Autobots have their work cut out for them with almost a 2:1 ratio of Decepticons to Autobots. And I could be wrong, but I’m pretty sure that an M1 Abrams could easily take a Peterbilt.
And who invited Scorponok? I’m a car… I’m a plane… I’m a big robotic scorpion. Shall we have a round of which one of these is not like the other?
Did you mean to leave a comment of no comment there, tiger?
I am sorry, but Transformers ended for me when Optimus Prime died in the first movie.
But he’s back now!! Same voice and everything.
